"The low price of Neo makes it a viable stocking stuffer."

You might be a bit out of touch with this comment... $599 to $699 is still a lot of money for most people!

Apple doesn’t sell to “most people”

Nice straw man argument 🤣

Which is why it made this laptop /s A low end laptop like this is largely useless to an MBP owner so even that argument is nonsensical

Yeah $600 for a stocking stuffer is completely unrelatable ... that's the main gift and likely the only gift you'd be getting in many households.

Even if it's the only gift, I highly doubt anyone will complain.

"Unfortunately for both, AI threatens to decimate their industries. Furthermore, AI is doing this design & code work in the cloud."

I'm highly skeptical of this. Yes, it will have an effect, for sure, but I'm not convinced of these professions being decimated. And let's say it does happen, AI engineers, platform engineers, network engineers, etc. will still be in demand. A lot of these professionals use Macs.

And then there's the traditional Windows stronghold, the enterprise. This market is ripe for Mac growth.

If I were Apple, I would do the following:

1. Get rid of the 256GB base model

2. Put in enough orders at TSMC to last until the end of August

3. Release Neo 2 early (Fall 2026). Only one model (the 512GB model with TouchID)

I've been told... my sources... but who are they? If you don't write who your sources are, then it's speculation, the serious thing is that it's discussed about it, it's a waste of time.

Who are you?
