Are we talking about size of the economy? I just assumed that because China did so much manufacturing, it would be a tougher choice

TSMC’s market isn’t nations per se because it’s not a consumer company. Its clients are chip designers, and the biggest ones are all American. US is more lucrative to TSMC than China because US chip designers have much larger global share.
